Meetings of IAAGG take place from noon to 2 p.m., at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, at 500 West Washington St., in downtown Indianapolis.

 

Parking is free in the White River State Park underground garage. Lunch and snacks can be purchased in the museum's cafe.

Topic - Using the Pedigree Chart and Family Group Sheets as the Framework for your Genealogy Research presented by Judith Casey..
 
Members are encouraged to bring to the meeting a copy of your primary Pedigree Chart and at least one Family Group Sheet.  If you do not have these completed yet, we will work with you to create them.
 
Bring your lap top or tablet so we can research on-line together.

November 17th

Veterans' Day Tribute to our ancestors who are veterans. Members will report on recent discoveries at the Allen County Public Library.  Members will discuss their brick walls. Webinar - Finding and Using Civil War 

Widows' Pensions.

 Family History Hounds meeting schedule:
The first Thursday, each month, 1:00 pm  Contact the Indiana Room at 839-6602 x.2114.   Meet in McMillan B meeting room.  

 

Nancy Massey, genealogy librarian at the Hamilton East Public Library (Noblesville) has taught hundreds of people how to find their ancestors.  Click the link above  for the calendar then enter the keyword genealogy. Classes are free but you may need to register.

Nancy Massey has announced their genealogy programs and class schedule. The Central Indiana DNA Interest Group, sponsored by the Genealogical Society of Marion County, was founded by members of the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists at the end of 2015. We are currently meeting monthly on a floating schedule at the Fishers Library in Hamilton County, and plan a variety of topics open to the public: formal presentations, round-table discussions, small group or 1-1 coaching, etc. We also offer ‘outreach’ programming to other area libraries and organizations on request.
